OSHI Defender, a security solution for Windows-powered machines, protects against various malware threats: AutoRun entries, Internet Explorer add-ons, rogue DNS servers, Hosts file modification. Run an on-demand scan or schedule a scan of your PC and OSHI Defender will find and remove malware from it.

The system requirements for running OSHI Defender are: 30MB of RAM memory, 12MB of free disk space, 32 or 64-bit Windows edition, anything from Windows XP SP3 up to Windows 8. After looking at these requirements, it’s safe to say that modern and even older PCs will have no problem meeting them.

There’s a panel on the left side of the application's dark-themed interface, panel that lists the following four buttons:
Overview – view your PC’s protection status, see when the PC was last scanned, find out if the application is up to date, see if you’re using secure DNS, see the status of your subscription.
Scan – perform a full scan, create a new scan profile.
Schedule – view scheduled scan tasks, edit scheduled tasks, add new tasks.
Settings – choose if you want the application to automatically run at startup and if you want to update OSHI Defender automatically.

By default, OSHI Defender will perform a full scan of your PC. The full scan includes all available scanners: Autorun Directories, Autorunt Registry Keys, DNS Settings, Hosts, Internet Explorer Add-ons. As mentioned above, you can create a new scan profile and run that instead of the full scan. Also as mentioned above, you can manually run the scan (perform on-demand scans) or you can let the application automatically scan your machine (the scans will be run based on the schedule you set up).

OSHI Defender is not free, it is only free to try. The trial version will detect problems but will not fix them. The Secure DNS function is disabled in the trial version.

Scan and remove malware from your PC and protect your PC from cybercriminals by using the good looking and efficient security solution OSHI Defender.

Pros

The system requirements for running OSHI Defender are quite low. The dark-themed interface is good looking and very easy to use. You can create custom scan profiles. You can launch on-demand scans or schedule them to be run automatically. The Secure DNS feature protects against cybercriminals.

Cons

Trial limitations: the application won’t fix the detected issues, the Secure DNS function is disabled.
